More Dayes

screenshot-2311The Dayes are back again in Dayes of Plenty – whereby our supernatural mania goes a bit crazy.

The Knights are children at the moment so watch this space for them.

More Dayes… and more of the Knights

Screenshot-966

The Knights are lucky I love them because the amount of crashing and freezing they put me through… anyway, a new chapter has finally been squeezed out: 5. Starry Starry Knights.

The Dayes are being just as annoying, but in different ways, in their new chapter In which I want to kill Dracula all over again.

Look at the shiny!

So, I got a new computer. And it’s way faster and the graphics are better. The final Dayes update from the old computer, Starlight Distress, is up now. And over the weekend, I snuck out a new Taken chapter, 57. University (very topical given the academic year has just restarted). Annoyingly I can’t find the save I need for the next chapter so that will mean some “fun” restaging before I can update. Blech. The best news though is that the new computer has made the Knights work!! Well, they still crash to desktop, but I’m getting an hour or so’s play at a time from them which is the most I’ve managed in months. They’re even part-way through becoming teenagers! So I might be able to update them soon, which makes me very happy (assuming I can retrieve all the screenshots of them as babies/toddlers from my old computer anyway).

Have a slight spoiler as a present!

Dreaming of a Knight Christmas?

Screenshot-921

I had hoped to update Kingsfield and Taken by now, but the best laid plans and all that.

Still, I have a Knights update for you at long last: 3. Just the things that you do in this garden, AND a Dayes one: Park Life.

May your Dayes be merry and bright

And may all your Christmases be Knight!

Happy Christmas everyone!

New Dayes

It’s been a lot longer than I anticipated, but they’re back in Starlight Express and I’ve been playing them a lot so expect a new chapter sooner rather than later.

Not sure when the other blogs will update as I haven’t touched any of their saves for a while.  But I hope to get onto Taken and Kingsfield again soon – I’m just having too much fun with the Dayes right now…

The Knights are Back!

Let’s face it, when EA introduced the age sliders and made it so that the minimum life span was no longer 25 days, it was only a matter of time before I took up that challenge. So the Knights are back, with all the sliders turned to the left (13 day lifespan, baby) and they’re aiming to go from Wii to the prettiest sim they can get in 10 generations. And the theme this time is pattern. Their new blog is called Knights in Bright Pattern and you can read the intro post, 1. Virginia Plain here. Second gen soon (cos I played ahead…)

Thanks to everyone who’s filled in the survey I posted yesterday so far – if you haven’t done so yet then please do. I’ll leave it up until late next week.

More updates!

A new Taken chapter is up: 43. Confontation. I’ve finally updated Kingsfield, with two chapters: Impossible Princess and Works of Art and a new Behind the Scenes: The Millers and the artists.

The new cover pic on my blog is in honour of 25 years of Star Trek: The Next Generation. It probably should have been something Diamond Jubilee themed but, eh. I am still considering a K25 (25 years of Kylie in pop) one though…

And there’s something new on the way. The pictures under the cut might give you some hints…

Uh-oh, the Dayes have pets…

I was the worst TS1 Pets player ever. I feel I should warn you, ahead of the impending carnage that the Dayes having pets will become. Meet the first victims: This will not end well.

In other news, I passed my PhD! (Well, subject to minor modifications/ amendments, which is normal). You may now call me Dr Rad. My PhD supervisor even emailed all my colleagues with the message headline Dr RAD because she’s sweet like that.

Time to fire up my game and get some shots for Taken, and then try and get to the end of the Populouses’ story…

In the Pink

It’s been a long time, but Pink gen of the Knights finally get their time in the spotlight in 9. Pink Sunshine. A Snap of Life 6 and Taken next, then I’ll try to work on the Dayes and OP some more.

I don’t yet have Pets or the patch – lack of money and lack of time to fiddle about fixing CC – I expect it’ll be another month or so before I get it but I’m enjoying seeing shots from it in all of your games!

Sim site of the month: The Imaginary Legacy

I was always going to make this the sim site of the month anyway, because it’s just too darn cute, but now Desmera has gone and stuck my simself in her hood… and she’s only got herself pregnant.  I don’t recall my simself ever getting pregnant in anyone else’s hood… I am guessing swapping out loner in her traits might have done it…

Anyway, watching what kind of spawn my simself produces is not the main reason you should check out The Imaginary Legacy.  The main reason is that it has the cutest concept behind it, and the sweetest founders you will ever come across.  Their descendants are proving pretty lovely too.  Desmera’s got another great legacy on her hands…

New Knights and Dayes

Due to the supreme annoyingness of post-Generations saves, the new Dayes of Our Lives chapter, This wasn’t supposed to happen is rather short. But it exists, unlike a new Operation: Population chapter, because their game is too screwed up to play. I have a few rescue plans, but they’re all quite long and involved so it might take some time. I am determined to finish their challenge and story though.

The Knights are much easier to play than the others, and they’re zipping through the generations as a result. Meet the eighth gen in 8. And the Sky was all Violet.

I hope to get Taken updated on Sunday, depending on how much time I get this weekend.
