Other stories

I’ve completed several stories, legacies and challenges – some long, some short…

The Kyoti Legacy – Completed!

The Kyoti Legacy was based on Pinstar’s Legacy Challenge: a ten-generation, points-based challenge using Sims 3.  Along the way we had many multiple births, some evil but family-oriented sims, a coward who wanted to tbe the Emperor of Evil, a super-efficient heartbreaker, a whole heap of insanity and neuroses, lots of bathroom flirting… and many parties with death!  The legacy blog chronicles all ten generations, along with some out-takes, a guide to the house, a guide to the family, the final scorecard, and my reflections on the whole project.

The Lazarus Dispatches – completed!

The Lazarus Dispatches is the story of one family fighting to restore the town of Riverview after it has been devastated in a horrific nuclear blast. Using Ashleigh’s rules, this is a Sims 3 apocalypse challenge in which the family has to lift 19 restrictions in order to be free.

Taken – Completed!

Taken is an epic, non-challenge, Sims 3 story…

Operation: Population – Completed!

Operation: Population – A WYDC story, seeing Bebe Populous attempt to have 26 pregnancies.

Kingsfield – on hiatus

Kingsfield follows the lives of a neighbourhood of sims… (on temporary hiatus for now….)

Gold Against the Soul

Based on a challenge set by Stacy to create a story around an encounter with a creature from Folklore.  It’s based on the fairytale Rumpelstiltskin.

Bonfire Night

A short story for a challenge on something themed around Bonfire Night, fireworks etc.

Christmas Wishing

A short story for Christmas!

A Boolprop Halloween!

A little story/build challenge for Halloween.

  1. Hey Rad! I’ve read almost all of your challenges all the way through. I couldn’t find this answer anywhere else, and I wasn’t sure where to post this, but here I go. I noticed that you SP a lot in you challenges (mainly the Rainbow Knights), and I was wondering whether it slows down your game. I have been getting mixed review from many people and I can’t seem to figure it out. My game isn’t bad at the moment, but many say that story progression takes up a lot of space. Do you think that it slowed your game down, or that it contributed to lags or problems at all? Thanks in advance! 🙂

  2. Hey Rad, sorry if I posted this twice but I can’t seem to find the other comment. I noticed that you use story progression in your game and it has pretty great results, as I saw in the Rainbow Knights. I was hoping you could tell me whether installing SP to your game slows it down or adds lags? My game isn’t too bad at the moment, but I am anxious to get it in case it ruins my game. Thanks in advance! 🙂

    • Story progression doesn’t seem to lag the game. I mean, the game can be a bit laggy anyway, especially with lots of objects or after several generations, but SP made no difference to how laggy it was.
