I haven’t been well this week, so I’ve been working at home and I haven’t been out anywhere in the evenings or weekends – which has meant my evenings and weekends have been spent simming (inbetween sleeping)… and that means another Daye update, a mere week after the last one! Enjoy as we go back and forth between the future, the present and island living…
Yes, after a couple of months because I was in another play, the Dayes are back in I’ll have a blue Ice Pop in which they get to Isla Paradiso. Or some of them, anyway.
The Knight kids are teenagers now so expect an update soon-ish.
I’m presenting another Sims 4 paper this week and will put the slides online later. The surveys have closed now, so I have a few months of analysing the data and writing about things – am keeping an interested eye on developments too…
The Dayes are back again in Dayes of Plenty – whereby our supernatural mania goes a bit crazy.
The Knights are children at the moment so watch this space for them.
The Dayes are back in a post that seems quite short but represents a LONG time of playing: Six degrees of sim frustration. Eh. The Knights’ next gen have been born and I’m hoping to update both again by the end of the month.
I am very aware of the irony of an ultra-speedy legacy being the least frequently updated thing ever, but the Knights are back in 6. It’s hip to be square. Gen 7 are children now, so you may see them this side of Christmas.
The Dayes are also back, in Ten’s Nervous Headache.
Also, for those interested the the research side of things, I’ve submitted a paper about Simblr that will hopefully come out next year, am working on one about Electronic Arts which I’m intending to submit once TS4 is out and I have a couple more planned to work on over the next few months. Will keep you posted.
The time has come for another heir to take on the somewhat dubious honour of holding the reins of the Daye family. So have a read of the new update, Sometimes you win and vote in the poll at the end!
So, I’ve been busy here with real life as usual, but I snuck out a new Dayes chapter last night and I’m hoping another one will come soon-ish (along with Gen 10 heir poll): What does the Fox spray?. Knights might have to wait a while, until I next have some time off work – I have plenty of leave coming up over the summer.
Been a while, but they’re back: Make one change – bitch at Quorn
The Knights are lucky I love them because the amount of crashing and freezing they put me through… anyway, a new chapter has finally been squeezed out: 5. Starry Starry Knights.
The Dayes are being just as annoying, but in different ways, in their new chapter In which I want to kill Dracula all over again.
Oh, the fun of being off work for a few days – two Dayes updates for you!
We fail at going Into the Future in Future-Proof and we repeatedly fail at sim-killing in Killing in the Name Of. We also get very sad about Twallan’s retirement when our game glitches all the freaking time and we realise we can’t ask him how to make it better any more (but thank you for EVERYTHING, Twallan, you are a LEGEND).
Well, Bathory may have turned her back on me, but I haven’t forgotten her. After my game has started functioning again (ish, the poor Knights), the Dayes are back in Uni Dayes. Did any of them pass any exams?
After two years as heir – the longest ever heirship in a legacy that didn’t go on a hiatus?? – Puddle Daye has passed on the baton.
Who to? Well, read the latest Dayes update, Heir We Go Again to find out.
As for my other stories, the Knights have had babies… plenty of babies… I haven’t played much lately, but I recently had a birthday and the latest stuff pack has arrived, with University on its way so I’m very excited about seeing how the uni expansion might work with Kingsfield. And I’ll try and update Taken within the next week or so.
As for the banner this month – Cartland Knight as the Third Doctor and Bebe Populous as Jo Grant, out for a ride in Bessie.
There’s a new Dayes update, Seasons in the Sun, which should be the first of two over the next few days as I’ve got loads of shots left and also hope to play a bit. Kingsfield should be updated in the next few days too.
Don’t get used to this…
I had hoped to update Kingsfield and Taken by now, but the best laid plans and all that.
May your Dayes be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be Knight!
Happy Christmas everyone!
The Dayes are back with some new babies, and an accident… Don’t Have a Cowplant, Man.
It’s been a lot longer than I anticipated, but they’re back in Starlight Express and I’ve been playing them a lot so expect a new chapter sooner rather than later.
Not sure when the other blogs will update as I haven’t touched any of their saves for a while. But I hope to get onto Taken and Kingsfield again soon – I’m just having too much fun with the Dayes right now…
Let’s face it, when EA introduced the age sliders and made it so that the minimum life span was no longer 25 days, it was only a matter of time before I took up that challenge. So the Knights are back, with all the sliders turned to the left (13 day lifespan, baby) and they’re aiming to go from Wii to the prettiest sim they can get in 10 generations. And the theme this time is pattern. Their new blog is called Knights in Bright Pattern and you can read the intro post, 1. Virginia Plain here. Second gen soon (cos I played ahead…)
Thanks to everyone who’s filled in the survey I posted yesterday so far – if you haven’t done so yet then please do. I’ll leave it up until late next week.
Feels like it’s been a while, but new Dayes of Our Lives: Karaoke King where, as usual, the spares(or rather, the spares’ children) get all the blog time. But that’s because they’re awesome.
In which we get a new family member, some magic items and I finally lose my rag with a certain LTW… Cheats frequently prosper
Things will slow down a bit from next week, I expect, but for now, here’s a new Dayes of Our Lives update: F is for Fantastic, right?
And seeing as it’s December 5, I’m glad I didn’t go for a full-on Advent Calendar after all…
I was the worst TS1 Pets player ever. I feel I should warn you, ahead of the impending carnage that the Dayes having pets will become. Meet the first victims: This will not end well.
In other news, I passed my PhD! (Well, subject to minor modifications/ amendments, which is normal). You may now call me Dr Rad. My PhD supervisor even emailed all my colleagues with the message headline Dr RAD because she’s sweet like that.
Time to fire up my game and get some shots for Taken, and then try and get to the end of the Populouses’ story…
